Systematic reviews (SRs) form an important part of a manufacturer’s submission for the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) single technology appraisal (STA) process. Supplementary searches in SRs are necessary to minimise publication bias; in the first of our DRG investigative series we consider if such searches are conducted in a transparent and reproducible way?
